The original EZ-V® and new EZ-V® and very easy to distinguish from one another. Current EZ-V®: Features a flared wing profile (27” at the center to 33” at the outer edges), modern INTENSIFIRE™ LED or dual-halogen headlights, and runs on the FLEET FLEX system with a square 4-pin connector, and a bent-form center steel cutting edge. It is available for half-ton trucks in stainless steel or powder-coat. This model was introduced in 2019. Original EZ-V®: Features a uniform height profile, legacy halogen headlamps, and non-FLEET FLEX wiring (3-plug system with a round 14-pin connector). It was built for 3/4 to 1-ton trucks in powder-coat and utilized a rubber center cutting edge. This model was discontinued around 2006.

Why does the EZ-V® v-plow include two extra horizontal ribs compared to other plows?

Those extra horizontal ribs provide exceptional torsional strength and structural stability without adding unnecessary weight. Because stainless steel moldboards are bolted on rather than welded like mild steel models, these additional ribs reinforce the frame to ensure maximum durability and rigidity under heavy loads.

How much width do I lose in EZ-V® v-mode?

At 7’6″ straight, the plow reduces to 6’9″ in v-mode.

Will a wide-body half-ton truck like a Ford Raptor or RAM TRX fit an EZ-V® v-plow?

No, the EZ-V® and other FISHER® plows are not applicable for those vehicles. The Raptor and TRX have wide-bodies, suspension profiles, and power capacities and are not approved for plowing. There are a variety of other vehicle options on eMatch that will fit an EZ-V®.

How do I choose between the EZ-V® v-plow in stainless steel and mild steel?

It mostly comes down to personal preference, budget, and vehicle payload capacity: Stainless Steel: Offers a sleek, corrosion-resistant finish and features a bolt-on moldboard with extra horizontal structural ribs for enhanced torsional strength.
