Does the TRAILBLAZER™ Mid-Duty straight blade snowplow use the Minute Mount® 2?

No, it features a specialized, lightweight quick-mounting system tailored specifically for smaller utility vehicles and compact tractors. Utilizing a shorter receiver design adapted from our personal plow mount, it positions the blade closer to the machine for an improved center of gravity and optimized ground clearance, all while maintaining effortless quick-attach convenience.

Why are there two hydraulic plow widths available for the TRAILBLAZER™ Mid-Duty straight blade plow?

We have a 66” for narrow sidewalk applications where a mid-duty UTV like the Polaris Ranger SP 570 or a Honda Pioneer 700 is applicable. The 72” wide is configured for wider walking paths or driveways on larger sport recreation models like the John Deere XUV 845/875.

Is the Mid-Duty TRAILBLAZER™ too light to back drag with?

Even though the Mid-Duty TRAILBLAZER™ is a lightweight plow, you can rely on the blade’s own weight for down force (approximately 175 to 180 lbs) and efficiently back drag snow from tight spaces. While hydraulic models offer a bit more downward force, the winch system is also fully capable of back dragging with ease.

The exclusive patented Sway-Frame design lets the blade shift side-to-side aligning the blade with the wheel track. This keeps the blade in the best position to ensure optimal cleanup and helps to prevent the UTV wheels from packing down missed snow.

Winch Lift Operation*

The winch lift version comes with many of the features that the hydraulic lift version offers, including the unique Sway-Frame™ design and with two blade widths: 66 and 72 inches. The ultra-light winch system comes with a unique bail design to reduce side stress on the winch assembly equipped on the vehicle and provides a more vertical lift.

Angling the plow is as easy as unpinning an assembly, manually moving the blade to your desired point, and pinning it back in just a few seconds. The mounting system is easy to install and use, as it is identical to the powered version. Its design optimizes ground clearance and is built tough to withstand harsh winter environments year after year.
