Are curb guards standard on the XV2™ v-plow?

Curb guards come standard on the 10’6” XV2™ v-plow to provide essential protection against curbs and hidden obstacles. Because this larger moldboard carries significantly more mass and momentum, factory-standard curb guards safeguard its structural integrity and keep the blade operational during extreme commercial or municipal operations. For the 8’6” and 9’6” models, curb guards are sold separately as an accessory (#43885).

What is the best way to increase efficiency with an XV2™ v-plow?

By adding the Wing Extension Kit (#43510-1) to the XV2™ v-plow, you can increase the effective plowing width by 21” (making the 8’6” into a 10’3” model and the 9’6” into an 11’3” model). The extra carrying capacity will help move snow faster, in less passes. Extension wings are not available for the 10’6” model though.

Does the XV2™ v-plow have an oscillating T-frame?

Yes, the 10’6” model is designed to handle unpredictable terrain and mimic a “floating” action, which prevents the outer edges of the blade from lifting or digging in excessively. For high-intensity commercial work, this means improved scraping performance and less reliance on the operator to manually adjust the blade’s position to compensate for surface contours.

Expand the carrying capacity of your XV2^™ snow plow by adding a pair of genuine FISHER^® extension wings. These extension wings feature durable poly cutting edges which also function as a trip mechanism in the event that an obstruction is encountered, the kit also includes a pair of blade stops for increased confidence while moving massive amounts of snow. Wings extend at a 60° angle, increasing the effective plowing width by 21″.
