ROCKLAND, Maine (March 16, 2017) – Fisher Engineering, manufacturer of FISHER® snow removal and ice control equipment, announces the new FISHER HS compact snowplow. It is designed specifically to fit mid-size pickups and SUVs, and offers professional performance features to users in the consumer market.
The HS plow has the strength to handle challenging conditions, while still being easy to use. The plow blade is made of high-strength, low-weight alloy steel, which is stronger and lighter than conventional steel.
In addition, the blade is reinforced with six vertical ribs, delivering exceptional torsional strength and eliminating blade twisting. A full-trip moldboard helps protect the plow and truck when encountering hidden obstacles.
“The ‘FISHER Nation’ includes all plowers, from the big commercial guys to the personal plowers,” said Tyler Jones, Product Manager for Fisher Engineering. “We’re proud to offer this powerful, durable plow to the consumer market, so they too can be a part of the FISHER legacy.”
The HS plow also comes with FISHER’s new, brighter, dual-bulb INTENSIFIRE™ halogen headlamps. They feature a longer beam pattern that increases visibility and a new light-mounting system that better absorbs shock and vibration.
Other features on the new HS plow include:
- 5″ high-carbon steel, long-lasting cutting edge
- Scrape Lock technology, providing the scraping performance of a larger plow without the extra weight
- Choice between intuitive hand-held or joystick controls
