FISHER at Wiscasset Speedway

A yellow tow truck with flashing lights leads three race cars on a curving racetrack bordered by a concrete wall and surrounded by trees under a cloudy sky.

Racing cars and building snow and ice equipment might seem worlds apart. But under the hood, it’s the same thing: craftsmanship, control, and an instinct for what happens when metal meets force. Welcome to a day and night at Wiscasset Speedway. Where FISHER is proudly represented both on and off the track. As part of our October Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, we raised $3,480 at this community event. FISHER Nation always knows how to show up when it matters most.

The centerpiece of Fisher Engineering’s breast cancer awareness efforts at Wiscasset Speedway is the Pink Plow fundraiser. Each year, the company dedicates itself to raising essential funds for the cause. This fundraising culminates in an exciting auction of a custom-painted pink XV2 v-plow, with all proceeds going to Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County Hospital. This event is a powerful demonstration of Fisher’s commitment to giving back and leveraging the spirit of the local racing community to support a noble cause, combining the passion for racing with a dedication to making a difference.

Fisher Engineering is proud to have employees who are not only dedicated members of our team but also active participants in the high-octane world of Wiscasset Speedway. Among them is Mac Hannan, a Tech Service Representative, who has been racing since 2000. He purchased his first racecar from a high school friend. The car was originally #09, but when he brought it home, his dad painted a line through the nine, making it an eight. That’s where the #08 comes from on his current car, a 1982-92 Chevy Camaro. His current car was built by himself, his family, and his team. His son Logan took on racing this year, it was his first year doing it, and he completely fell in love with racing. He is moving up from Jr. Box Stock to Box Stock in 2026. They are currently in the process of converting his kart over this offseason.

Good luck Mac and Logan on your continued success at the Wiscasset Speedway and racing journey!
