Fisher Engineering Open House Helps Fill Job Openings During a Busy Year

ROCKLAND, Maine (September 23, 2014)­ – Fisher Engineering, which has been manufacturing snow and ice control equipment for over 60 years in Rockland, opened its doors Saturday, Sept. 13 to the public for an open house and job fair.

Over 375 members of the community toured the state-of-the-art factory, which features an eight-stage powder coating process and cutting-edge equipment such as lasers and robotic welding units.

The company’s latest and greatest snow and ice control products were demonstrated and on display while over 400 hamburgers and hot dogs were served. Additionally, 30 individuals took the opportunity to apply for jobs as Fisher Engineering continues to seek skilled welders, fabricators and machine operators.
